I decided to invest $300 this week and may do the same the remaining weeks this year. Its a safer option dollar cost averaging instead of committing funds to a single purchase.
12/01:
Macys Inc. (M) - 2.5491 shares @$39.23 ($100). Yield = 3.67%
Target Corp. (TGT) - 1.3772 shares @$72.61 ($100). Yield = 3.08%
PepsiCo Inc. (PEP) - 0.9907 shares @$100.94 ($100). Yield = 2.78%
$300 of new capital invested and adding $9.54 to my annual dividend income.
These purchases increase my total annual projected dividends to $1,020.28.
Couple of nice buys DGP. PEP and TGT offers the long history of dividend growth (42 and 47 years, respectively). I also like the M purchase, even though the dividend raises only date back 4 years, I think it has the greatest growth potential given the low payout ratio in the mid 30% range.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work. Each buy we all make brings us all one step closer to FI! Best wishes and continued success on your personal journey. AFFJ
